Adventure Time Nails!

Hey all!

I did some really fun Adventure Time nails! This show is super cute and random and hilarious, but there’s also some really dark stuff that it touches on, like zombies and nuclear war… so naturally I love it. I painted Flame Princess, Finn, Jake, Gunter, and Lemongrab (although I think my poor rendition of him is UNACCEPTABLE).

Here’s how you get some rockin’ Adventure Time nails:

• For this look I used a tiny paintbrush (I bought like ten for four bucks) but I believe it’s possible with a toothpick and a lot of patience. You’re also going to need several different polishes, and a sewing pin and bobby pin or some actual dotting tools.

Flame Princess nail art:

• Colours needed: yellow, orange, black
• Begin with a yellow base. Use the black to draw her face and outline her hair and forehead diamond. Fill in what you’ve outlined. If you’re using a brush, remember to rinse it with nail polish remover between colours, or if the brush becomes too stiff.
• To draw the diamond, paint a square and add a smaller square inside it. Connect the two by the corners. Fill in the empty areas with orange nail polish.

Finn nail art:

• Colours needed: nude, white, blue, black
• Start with a nude base. Outline Finn’s face and hat with the black nail polish, then fill in the respective areas with white and blue. Any empty space should be painted black.

Jake nail art:

• Colours needed: yellow, black, white
• Start with a yellow base. Use a sewing pin to dot Jake’s eyes with black then white nail polish. Using black, draw the Jake’s nose, then outline his muzzle. It should cover part of his eyes. Fill in the muzzle with yellow to cover the part of the eyes that peek through. Don’t forget his mouth!

Gunter nail art:

• Colours needed: black, white, yellow
• Get a black base down. Fill in all parts of the nail except for the edges around the cuticle and sides with white nail polish. Use a sewing pin to dot his eyes with black and then white polishes. Draw a yellow beak. I probably should have outlined the beak thinly with black, so I would recommend you do that because the yellow seems hard to see here.

Lemongrab nail art:

• Colours needed: yellow, black, white
• Use a yellow base. Outline his eyes and draw the rest of his face. Fill in his eyes with white then add thin black dots for the pupils.

Make sure you generously apply topcoat after the designs fully dry!

And there you have it! Adventure time nail art. So cute. 🙂
